Victorian Silver Topped 15kt Banded Agate & Rose Cut Diamond Ring
A spectacular banded agate ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous ring is made of sterling-topped 15kt yellow gold (indicating English origin) and holds a banded agate cabochon at its center. The oval-shaped agate has a smoothly polished finish and has a rich, deep brown color banded with a stripe of white. Surrounding the banded agate stone is a scalloped border comprised of 16 sparkling Rose Cut diamonds. Decorating the shoulders of the band are a series of engraved grooves that meet at a pillar top just below the diamond halo. A beautiful and very striking design, the ring has a strong Victorian look that compliments a modern sense of fashion. It would make a stunning statement worn everyday or on special occasions!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75 but could easily be re-sized up or down if desired. The banded agate and diamond centerpiece measures 7/8" tall and 3/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver-topped gold setting, or to the banded agate and diamond stones, all of which are intact.
