Victorian Sterling/14kt Petite Diamond Crescent Conversion Pendant Necklace
A gorgeous crescent conversion piece from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This lovely piece consists of a petite crescent moon conversion pendant that hangs from a modern 14kt white gold chain. The pendant, which is crafted in 9kt yellow gold topped in sterling silver, adorns thirteen sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds set in a closed back setting. The diamonds graduate slightly, the largest set at the center of the moon, and collectively, the overall approximate diamond weight of the necklace is 0.52ctw. A modern white gold chain, embellished with a delicate bezel set diamond "star", attaches to the top of the crescent fastening in the back with a simple spring-ring stamped "14K" and "DOCZ 14K" on the securing tab. This celestial piece is both beautiful and feminine, and would look wonderful worn day or night!
Measurements: The entire necklace measures 19" long, including the pendant, and the diamond crescent measures approximately 5/8" tall and wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling topped gold setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are secure and intact. The chain and clasp are secure and in excellent working condition.
