Victorian Sterling/9kt Horseshoe Pendant Necklace 18.25"
A stylish horseshoe necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful equestrian-inspired piece consists of a two-tone horseshoe pendant that hangs from a simple chain. Crafted in sterling silver, both the chain and pendant display a darkened, oxidized silver surface, lending a dramatic gunmetal-like appearance to the design. Lining the front of the horseshoe are 7 raised studs (always 7 for good luck!), which are plated in rose gold for a fabulous mixed metals appeal. A modern chain is attached to the top of the open horseshoe, fastening securely with a spring ring clasp stamped with a "925" purity mark. Both stylish and versatile, this everyday accessory is perfect for the equestrian enthusiasts collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 18.25" in total length. The horseshoe pendant measures about 1" tall, 7/8" wide, and is a little more than 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the rose gold overlay or sterling silver pendant and chain, except for a very small hole in the upper corner of the horseshoe. Due to the size and location of the hole, it is hardly noticeable when worn and does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece. The spring ring clasp fastens securely in the back.
