Victorian Sterling Buckle Bangle Bracelet
A striking piece from the Victorian (ca1882) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this hinged bangle bracelet has a wonderful buckle motif. The top of the bracelet is engraved with a lovely foliate design and the buckle's hardware is smoothly polished. The underside of the bracelet is smoothly polished, and the bangle is secured with a push clasp and two figure-8 latches. Stamped inside the shank are multiple English hallmarks, including the Birmingham symbols of an anchor and a lion, and the date letter "h," which dates the piece to 1882. The bracelet is marked with "P.J.", a makers' mark, an additional lion, and another "h". This bracelet's unique appeal merges seamlessly into modern-day fashion!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/8" wide and 2" tall. The bracelet is approximately 1" wide.
Condition: The bracelet is overall in excellent condition. The bracelet's hinge and figure-8 latches are all secure and in good working condition.
