A beautiful sterling link bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this substantial piece is comprised of large interlocking curb links which have a wonderful textured surface. The repousse design is stunning and features a pattern of elegant flourishes that carry around the entire length of the bracelet, creating a wonderful eye-catching design. The links come together at a heart-shaped padlock clasp that displays the same gorgeous repousse design along the front and back of the clasp. The padlock features a simple keyhole cutout on the front and skeleton key attached to a delicate link chain, which opens the "handle" at the top, providing a secure closure to the piece. The underside of the bracelet displays a smooth sterling finish and the hand wrought piece is hollow, making it lightweight and comfortable to wear. The bracelet makes a bold statement and would look wonderful worn alone or paired with other complementary bracelets!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 8.5" long, and would fit nicely on a medium to average sized wrist. Each link measures about 7/8" wide and 1/2" thick. The heart-shaped padlock clasp measures about 1 1/4" tall, 3/4" wide and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the sterling links or to the textured repousse detail and the heart padlock clasp is secure and in good working condition. There is some normal wear to the underside of the hollow links, including small dings, however, none are noticeable when the bracelet is worn.
