Victorian Sterling Rose Cut Diamond + South Sea Pearl Pendant Necklace 18"
An absolutely stunning pearl and diamond pendant necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This incredible piece is comprised of a gorgeous mixed metals diamond and pearl pendant, which hangs from a complimentary gold filled chain. The pendant is crafted in gilded sterling silver and forms a shape similar to an acorn, with the natural pearl dangling beautifully at the base. The beautiful South Sea pearl measures approximately 11mm in diameter, exhibiting a gorgeous luster and wonderful shimmery white color. The pearl is riveted at the top and hangs below a stunning old Rose Cut diamond lined "cap." Each stone catches the light beautifully with every turn, creating a gorgeous combination with the lustrous pearl. Resting at the top is a simple bail allowing the pendant to hang from a delicate interlocking chain that fastens in the back with a spring ring clasp stamped with a "1/20 14K GF" purity mark. It's a gorgeous and unique pendant and the necklace would make a fantastic addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pearl pendant necklace measures approximately 18" in total length. The pendant hangs about 7/8" long (including the bail) and the pearl measures approximately 11mm in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gilded sterling or gold filled settings or to the pearl or diamonds, all of which are securely set and free of chips or scratches. The bail, chain and clasp are all secure and in good working condition.
