Victorian Sterling Silver Etched Bird Earrings
A wonderful pair of aesthetic movement earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in sterling silver, each earring boasts a scenic hand-etched image at the center. The picturesque motif depicts a bird flying over the surface of a lake or pond, with tufts of grass emerging from the banks of the water. Surrounding the image is a decorative border, complete with embossed texture and delicate beadwork details. The rectangular-shaped links hang from stylish ball toppers with simple wires, swinging with lovely movement. Thanks to their hollow design, the earrings are incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear, framing the face beautifully. They would look perfect paired with other sterling silver accessories, and would make a charming addition to any Victorian jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 3/8" in total length (including the wire tops). The rectangular links measure 3/4" long, 5/8" wide, and about 1/8" thick. Each individual lightweight earring weighs 2.2 grams.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver links or earring wires, which are securely attached.
