An incredible bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous bangle is crafted in sterling silver and has a particularly wide, substantial appearance. The surface features an intricate raised design that spells the romantic word “REGARD” written across the front in a gorgeous script. Surrounding the letters are swirled ivy leaves that weave through some of the letters, providing a lovely feminine touch. A border of delicate bead details embellish both edges of a raised row that frames the central word, and finishing the design is an outer border featuring a fine etched pattern. The back of the bracelet is left simple and smooth, and the hinged bangle fastens on the side with a push clasp (stamped underneath with a "STERLING SILVER" purity mark and a hallmark), along with a safety chain for extra security. A classic Victorian piece, the bracelet is rich in detail and displays excellent craftsmanship. Worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets, it would make a romantic sentiment to anyone who wears it!

Measurements: The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 1 3/4" tall, and would fit nicely on an average to medium sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 1 1/4" wide and is about 1/16" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting on the front of the bangle, however on the back, there are some minor dents and scratches, which is common given the handwrought nature and age of the piece, and is not noticeable when worn given the location.
