Victorian Sterling-Topped 14kt Diamond Lavalier Necklace
An enchanting lavalier pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This delicate and feminine necklace is made of sterling-topped 14kt yellow gold and comprised of a gorgeous pendant that hangs from a sterling chain. The pendant has an intricate branch-like design adorned with sparkling Rose Cut diamonds for a perfect accent. A single Old Mine cut diamond in a bezel setting hangs in the center, and dangling freely from the bottom of the pendant is a teardrop shaped link with Rose Cut diamonds. The sterling chain meets just above the pendant at a bezel set diamond, then separates to form the necklace, which fastens in the back with a simple spring ring clasp. An absolutely stunning Victorian piece, it would look incredible worn day or night and would make a spectacular addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 16.5" long above the dividing diamond. The pendant hangs approximately 2" long below, including the separated chain with the dividing diamond. The pendant itself measures 1 3/8" tall, 1 1/4" wide, and 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling-topped gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact, and the spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
