Vintage 14kt Carved Jade, Ruby, Onyx + Diamond Stud Earrings
A beautiful and unique pair of Vintage gemstone and jade earrings from the 1960s era! Most likely of Chinese origin, each relatively large 14kt yellow gold stud features a hand-carved jade plaque resting at the center of an ornate design. The round plaque displays a gorgeous floral cutout design with varying shades of vibrant green and milky white hues. The jade is surrounded on 3 sides by rich black onyx links that together create a fabulous geometrically shaped border. The bold, yellow gold prongs that hold the jade in place overlay the onyx, providing a stunning color contrast. Adorning the base is a raspberry red ruby cabochon flanked by pave set accent diamonds, each one sparkling brilliantly in the light with every turn. The ruby is bezel set in yellow gold, while the diamonds rest in white gold, creating a wonderful mixed metals appeal. Finishing the design is a simple post with a hinged omega clip on the back, stamped with a "585" gold purity mark. The earrings frame the face beautifully, and make a fabulous statement piece when worn. Stunning day or night, these incredible earrings would make a wonderful to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring measures approximately 1" tall, slightly less than 1" wide, and is a little more than 1/4" thick.
