Vintage 14kt Diamond, Pearl + Ruby 3-Piece Bug Pin Set
A stunning Vintage pin set from the 1940-50s era! This 3-piece set is comprised of a trio of complimentary pins, all featuring a charming bug motif. Two of the open-winged bugs are crafted in 14kt yellow and white gold, while the third is topped with sterling silver, all creating a lovely 2-tone appearance. The abdomen of each insect is portrayed by a lovely white pearl that rests below a gold bead thorax. Two sets of the wings are topped in white gold and accented with delicate sparkling diamonds, while the third is topped in sterling silver and adorns faceted studs which carry the appearance of diamonds. Each insect wing is detailed with fine milgraining and cutouts throughout, displaying a slightly different but complimentary geometric design. A series of gold legs and antennae peak out from the sides and below each bug, and luscious rubies represent the eyes. All three pins have a slightly different pin clasp on the back, each with a secure safety catch. Although they're not identical, the set is a wonderful compilation and would make a great addition to any "insect jewelry" collection!
