Vintage 14kt Rock Quartz Crystal + Gold Bead Necklace 31"
A wonderful beaded necklace from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This beautiful 14kt yellow gold piece is comprised of an alternating pattern of graduated rock quartz crystals and gold beads. The rock crystal beads are beautifully faceted, catching the light brilliantly with every turn, while each elongated gold bead displays a wonderful ribbed surface, providing a fantastic eye-catching texture to the design. The necklace is hand strung on a fine braided chain and fastens with a push clasp (stamped with a "14K" purity mark) and safety latch for extra security. Given the length of the piece, it can be worn long or doubled up for a fabulous layered look. The simplicity of the design is very wearable, making this a perfect day or night!
Measurements: The necklace measures 31" long. The largest rock crystal bead measures 14mm in diameter, and the smallest measures 6.5mm in diameter. The gold beads measure about 5/8" wide, and 1/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, including minor surface wear to the rock crystals, there is no serious damage to gold setting or beads, and the rock quartz crystal beads are securely strung. The clasp and safety latch fasten securely and are in good working condition.
