A figa is a talisman symbol worn to protect against the evil eye, and to bring good luck when given as a gift. It's depicted by a clenched fist, with the thumb protruding between the index and middle finger. Known around the world with a variety of meanings, antique figa jewelry became especially common in Italy and Brazil, and vintage figa amulets are now very popular among collectors!

The mano cornuto is an Italian good luck amulet meaning "horned hand," which is represented by a fist with the index and pinky fingers extended. This common symbol is meant to offer protection when worn, and ward against the evil eye.

The acorn is a traditional good luck emblem that has long been considered a symbol of strength, prosperity, patience, renewal, and growth. These attributes are partially inspired by nature itself; a mighty oak tree grows from a tiny acorn, giving significance not only to the tree, but to the seed itself.  Acorns became a popular jewelry motif dating back to the early Victorian era, and are often depicted in a wonderful range of materials and styles. Their beautiful renderings and sentimental symbolism are still valued in the modern day, making antique acorn jewelry very special!

This wonderful compilation necklace features a group of "good luck" Vintage charms! Crafted in 18kt rosy yellow gold, the charms include a figa fist, a mano cornuto, and an acorn which together hang from a lovely 14kt yellow gold chain. The smoothly polished figa is accented with a cuff embellished by a feminine floral motif border, adding wonderful texture to the design. Similarly, the acorn is polished at the bottom, and is decorated with a criss-cross etching on the "cap," creating a realistic eye-catching appeal. The mano cornuto is adorned with a feminine double cuff, featuring subtle ribbed etching. The charms hang from simple bails, each one stamped with a "750" gold purity mark. They dangle at the center of an delicate interlocking link chain, which fastens together with a lobster clasp in the back, stamped with a "14K" gold purity mark. The modern chain can be worn at two different lengths with the help of an extension chain, which fastens with a spring ring clasp, stamped with a "14K" purity mark. A fantastic vintage compilation piece, this stylish charm necklace would be right at home in any jewelry collection!
