Vintage 18kt Rock Quartz Crystal 4-Leaf Clover Pendant
Four leaf clovers are a unique type of clover variety in comparison to the commonly found three leaf species. Traditionally, they are believed to bring good luck to whomever finds them, particularly when they are found by chance. Each of the four leaves bears its own special meaning, representing faith, hope, love, and luck. Throughout the ages, the image of the four leaf clover has become a recurring motif in jewelry, dating back to as early as the Victorian era. Today, they are still collected as popular charms that serve as symbols for good luck.
A fabulous Vintage four leaf clover pendant from the 1970s! This striking piece is set in vibrant 18kt yellow gold and is fairly substantial in size. The pendant is comprised of four hand carved pieces of rock quartz crystal, which are heart shaped and smoothly polished. Each of the hearts forms one of the "petals" of the clover, and a gold stem curls out from the center. Resting in the center where the petals meet is a single gold flower, adding an attractive accent to the design. Twisted gold rope detail surrounds the bezel set rock quartz pieces, giving the piece a unique texture. At the top of the clover is a gold bail allowing the pendant to be easily hung and worn from a chain. The back of the stem is stamped "750". Whether or not you believe in the good luck that the four leaf clover symbolizes, it's a very beautiful piece that looks wonderful when worn and would make a perfect addition to any jewelry collection!
