Vintage Native American Sterling Silver + Turquoise Earrings
A fabulous pair of vintage Native American earrings from the 1970s era! Crafted in sterling silver, these earrings display a ring of teardrop-shaped frames, each encompassing a single turquoise stone within a scissor pattern bezel. The turquoise displays a wonderful variety of colors from a vibrant robin's egg blue to a lush, deep green, beautifully contrasting with the rich sterling setting. A single teardrop motif enhances the otherwise open-circle design and the earrings attach to a final teardrop-shaped surmount which hangs from a simple wire. These earrings are a wonderful example of vintage Native American jewelry and blend seamlessly into modern fashion!
Measurements: The earrings hang nearly 2 1/2" long (including the earring wires). They are approximately 1 5/16" at their widest point.
The earrings are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting. The turquoise stones are all intact and securely set. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition. The silver surface displays a natural darkened patina, which is normal given the age of the piece and adds to the beauty and character of the design.
