Native American Begay Sterling Turquoise Cuff Bracelet
A fabulous vintage Native American turquoise cuff bracelet! This beautiful sterling silver bangle features five rows of turquoise cabochons that decorate the entire front surface. The center rows display round stones, while teardrop shaped cabochons adorn the outer border. The bezel-set stones vary in size and shape, exhibiting incredible blue and green hues marbled with natural mineral webbing known as "matrix." Twisted wirework separates each row, and delicate beadwork graces the edges of the graduated centerpiece, creating a lovely scalloped design. A stacked wirework cuff, stamped "BEGAY" rests at the back where an opening allows the bracelet to be slipped on and off the wrist. A beautiful statement piece, it is a must for any turquoise lover or Native American jewelry collector!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures almost 2 1/4" wide and 1 5/8" tall and would fit a medium to average sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 1 1/2" wide and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting. All of the turquoise stones are intact and securely set.
