Vintage Swedish Large Silver Chalcedony Cabochon Ring
A unique Vintage chalcedony ring from the 1960s era! Crafted in .835 silver, this bold piece adorns a large oval-shaped chalcedony cabochon at its center. The bezel set stone rests in an open back setting, exhibiting a wonderful, pale periwinkle blue color with a lovely translucent appearance. A smoothly polished wide flat frame surrounds the stone, creating a perfect background to showcase its soft color. The ring is finished with a complimentary wide band that wraps around the back, and stamped on the outside of the shank is the "triple crown" Swedish National Control Mark aside the letter "S," representing a minimum of .800 silver purity. Also stamped along the inside of the shank is "835." It's a fantastic ring and would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring had a finger size 6.5 but could be resized if desired. The centerpiece measures slightly more than 1" tall, approximately 5/8" wide, and rests about 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 7mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the silver setting or to the chalcedony stone, which is intact and securely set.
