Born in Florence, Elsa Peretti's first introduction with her collection began at Tiffany & Co. in 1974. During that time, her collection debuted to high acclaim. Her inspiration in jewelry came from nature with elements such as bones, beans, hearts, scorpions, snakes, teardrops and sea-shells. Peretti's designs are translated in a wide variety of materials, however her most popular designs are her works in silver.

These beautiful estate earrings are designed for Tiffany & Co. by Elsa Peretti! Part of the Comma Collection, each clip earring takes form in a curved teardrop comma made of 18kt yellow gold. The simple, yet evocative shape is void of sharp edges and accentuates the piece's flowing curves, one of the hallmarks of Elsa Peretti's works. A secure gold omega clip rests on the back of each comma, allowing the earrings to be worn comfortably on pierced or unpierced ears. Both earrings are signed "PERETTI" and "T&CO" along the edges. When worn, the elongated commas are perfectly angled along the ear, making a stylish and versatile accessory that is perfect for everyday wear. A fabulous design from a legendary jewelry maker, these earrings would make a very fashionable addition to any collection!

Measurements: Each comma earring measures 1" long and 3/8" wide. The total pennyweight is 4.8 dwt (7.5 grams). 

Condition: The earrings are in excellent pre-owned condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting, and the omega clips are secure and in good working condition.
