Victorian 15kt Lapis Hanging Urn Earrings
An outstanding pair of dangling earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era with a stylish urn motif! Each earring has a 3-dimensional design crafted in vibrant 15kt gold. The center of each earn is represented by a smooth lapis stone, which has a beautiful royal blue color flecked with gold. The urns are capped in gold at the top and at the base, and are framed by two curved handles at either side. Each urn swings freely from a decorative surmount, which features an added Etruscan bead accent below a gold wire. These marvelous earrings look fabulous when worn, and would make a striking addition to any Victorian jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/8" long (including the wire surmounts), measures 1/2" across from handle to handle, and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the lapis stones, which are secure and intact. The wire surmounts are secure and in good condition.
