A wonderful charm necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 18k vibrant yellow gold, this chain is decorated with 5 Egyptian motif charms. The first charm depicts the Key of Life, and the motif features reddish-orange, teal, and rich blue enameling. The second charm depicts a small sphinx resting upon an arch-shaped pedestal. The sphinx is gold in hue, but the pedestal incorporates teal and aqua enameling. The third charm features a carved agate spinner fob, which is complemented on both sides by two gold snakes. The top of the spinner fob is also decorated with an Egyptian lotus, which incorporates terra-cotta and aqua hues. The fourth charm showcases a scarab, which is crafted from carved stone, and surrounded by a striped terra-cotta, white, and blue enamel border. The fifth and final charm depicts the side profile of a man adorned in a nemes. The man is also sat atop an arch-shaped pedestal. The necklace secures with a simple spring ring clasp, which is marked with a "750" purity mark. A magnificent necklace, this piece would be perfect for any Vintage jewelry lover.
Measurements: The necklace measures 17" in total length.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain, charms, or enamelwork.
