Edwardian South Sea Pearl Necklace with Diamond + Ruby Clasp

SKU: 45464

A classically beautiful and very unique South Sea Pearl convertible necklace with a gorgeous diamond and ruby clasp from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era ! This fabulous piece is comprised of a single strand of 35 substantially sized pearls which are hand-knotted on ivory-colored thread and exhibit a silvery white color and exceptional luster. The strand features a platinum-topped 18k yellow gold clasp that displays a fantastic radiant motif with intricate milgrain detail, encrusted with 20 bead-set Rose Cut diamonds and one bezel-set ruby cabochon at the center. This feminine, elegant necklace is so versatile and would look gorgeous in any pearl lover's collection!

Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 18.5" in total length. The pearls range in size with 10mm being the smallest and 15mm being the largest.

Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the pearls, diamonds, or ruby, all of which are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition and the stringing remains secure and intact. The pearls display natural dimpling, but this does not negatively impact their beauty or integrity.
