An absolutely exquisite gold chain from the early Georgian (ca1790) era! This beautiful, handmade piece is crafted in vibrant 15k yellow gold and comprised of 37" of fabulous textured links that interlock, forming a simple, yet bold chain necklace. Each gold link has rich, golden color and adorns a fine knurled design covering the surface, giving the chain a wonderful textured appearance. The necklace fastens at an ornate clasp which depicts the shape of two interlocking hands. The clasp, which fastens at the ornate sleeve cuff, allows you to easily double or triple the chain or attach a complimentary locket or pendant if desired. Although very long in length, the necklace is incredible lightweight and comfortable to wear. An impeccably made piece, it is versatile enough for everyday wear, and is perfect antique jewelry lover's collection!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 37" long and slightly more than 1/4" wide. The hand clasp measures approximately 1" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the links and the hand clasp is secure and in good working condition.
