Georgian Chinese 20k Link Necklace

A phenomenal necklace from the Georgian (ca1750s) era! Crafted in vibrant 20k yellow gold, this necklace is comprised of 26 oblong links, which are adorned with highly-intricate engravings, which showcase Chinese pagodas and swirling-motifs. The top and bottom edge of each pill-shaped link feature a detailed, dome-shaped cap, which are also decorated with texturizing engravings. Each engraved link is separated from the next by openwork floral-motif links, which feature a smooth surface. Due to the length of the piece, the necklace does not feature a clasp, and can easily be slipped on and off over the wearer's head. A true conversation starter, this chain would look lovely worn alone or paired with other Georgian-era necklaces!

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting.
