A striking ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this ring features a large, oval-shaped centerpiece. The centerpiece is decorated with deep black enameling, and features an overlaid starburst-motif. The center of the starburst is represented by a bead-set pearl, which displays a lovely champagne luster. The "rays" of the sunburst-motif are encrusted with small, bead-set, rose cut diamonds. The enameled centerpiece is surrounded bye a halo of smaller, bead-set pearls. The shoulders of the ring feature a foliage-motif detail, and are also adorned with black enameling. The backside of the centerpiece and the shoulders of the ring feature lovely wheat-motif engravings. A spectacular treasure from the Victorian-era, this piece would make a special addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 6.25, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.17mm, and the centerpiece has a height of 1 1/4" and a width of 1 1/16".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the enamel-detailing. All of the pearls and diamonds are intact and securely set.
