A marvelous sapphire ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold and sterling silver, this ring features a central, prong-set, 2.25ct Ceylon sapphire. The oval-cut sapphire is simply mesmerizing, and has not been treated with heat. The cornflower blue tone of the sapphire wonderfully contrasts the yellow gold mounting. The shoulders of the ring feature delicate milgrain-detailing, subtle black enameling, and geometric engravings. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. A gorgeous and colorful ring, this piece would make a spectacular addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 6, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.25mm.
Condition: The ring is in excellent condition. There is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting, and the sapphire is intact and securely set. The enamel-detailing is intact and free from any chips or scratches.
