Victorian 14kt Carved Emerald Intaglio Diamond Cluster Ring
This gorgeous intaglio ring is truly magnificent! From the Victorian (ca1880) period, this lovely ring has a large, oval-shaped emerald with an intaglio carved into the center. The hand carved image portrays the Scottish Hamilton Clan Crest: an oak tree being infiltrated by a frame saw with the motto “THROUGH” carved below it. The emerald stone, which weighs approximately 3.95 ctw, is most likely of Colombian decent and is bezel set in a bold 15kt yellow gold mounting. It has exquisite, rich green color and is surrounded by 11 old Mine Cut diamonds that are belcher set, with an addition diamond on either side of the mounting. The 13 diamonds have a total weight of 4.00 ctw, color in the F-G range, and clarity in the VS1-SI1 range. It is a unique ring and would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: The emerald intaglio and diamond border measure approximately 3/4" wide, 7/8" tall and rests 1/4" atop your finger when worn. The ring is a size 7.5 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent.
