A lovely button bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, this beautiful piece features 16 button links which come together to form a straight but flexible design. Each round link has a bold textured surface and holds a vibrant turquoise stone bezel set in the center. The turquoise has a subtle range in color, from a gorgeous robin’s egg blue to a greenish-blue tone, beautifully complementing the yellow gold setting. The links attach at gold connector links and the piece fastens at a push clasp hidden within one of the buttons, additionally secured by a sliding safety chain embellished with a matching, textured gold bead. The tongue of the clasp is marked “X111”. This bracelet would be a fabulous addition to any Victorian or turquoise collection!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7” in length, suitable for a small to average sized wrist. Each button link has a diameter of almost 3/8" and the turquoise cabochons measure approximately 1/8" in diameter. The bracelet weighs 11.2 grams.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the turquoise cabochons are intact and securely set. The push clasp and the safety chain are both secure and in good working condition. A natural patina is present on the gold setting, which is a normal characteristic of vintage and antique jewelry.
