Collection: Pendants

A pendant is the drop or ornament that hangs from a chain, while the necklace is the complete piece including the chain. Many antique pendants are sold with a period chain, and we can help you pair a pendant with the right length and style if it needs one.

Some do and some are sold on their own, which we always state clearly in the description. When a pendant needs a chain, we can recommend or source a period-appropriate one so the finished piece looks right and hangs at a flattering length.

Carved lapis, coral, and hardstone are reasonably durable but can chip if knocked, so we recommend gentle handling and storing them separately. We grade the condition of each carving and note any old repairs before a pendant is offered.
