A beautiful carnelian and rock crystal necklace from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This fabulous piece is comprised of a single strand of graduating carnelian beads, which are separated by faceted rock crystal spacers. The carnelian is rich and warm in color, exhibiting beautiful shades of sunset orange and deep cherry red, the bold facets perfectly complemented by the faceted rock crystal spacers. All of the beads are hand strung on braided silver wire and together, they meet at a 10kt gold spring ring clasp at the back (stamped "10K"). When worn, the necklace drapes beautifully at the neckline and the piece would make a wonderful everyday accessory!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 28.5" in total length. The largest bead at the center measures approximately 14mm in size. The smallest beads at the ends measure 6.5mm in size. Each faceted rock crystal spacer measure between 4.5mm - 5.75mm in size.
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the beads, spacers or braided wire, which are all intact and securely strung. The gold spring clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
