A wonderful enameled achievement badge from the Art Deco (ca1925) era! This decorative medallion pendant is crafted in 9kt gold, and is of English origin. The medal is shield-shaped, with a colorful yellow, blue, and white enameled center. Fine etched details surround the enameled shield, which bears a nautical fish motif. Several English hallmarks are stamped on the back of the piece, including the gold purity marks "9 375" and the maker's initials "TF" (Thomas Fattorini of "Fattorini & Sons"- a maker of sports trophies and awards medals during the late 19th century). Engraved on the back of the piece is an inscription that reads: "WORTHING CHARITY CUP 1925 - 6 WINNERS WORTHING F.C. L. NAIRN." This collectable awards medallion hangs from a gold ring at the top, and would look stylish paired with a complimentary chain!
Measurements: The medallion hangs 1 1/2" long (including the ring at the top), and measures 7/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the enameled motif. The bail at the top is securely attached.
