A fabulous Vintage carved stone link necklace from the 1970s era! This colorful piece is crafted with 14kt yellow gold and features a vibrant combination of varying lush shades of green. Smoothly polished cylindrical links of nephrite jade alternate with similarly sized malachite links, each capped with a fitted gold mounting, the pattern carrying the entire length of the necklace. The link's gold caps display an ornate scalloped design and are finished with two pinched jump rings at each end. A 3-ring section of chain connects the links together, completing the stunning look, and the necklace, which is absent of a clasp, slips easily and comfortably on and off overhead. This versatile and truly distinctive piece would be a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The overall length of the necklace is 35". The cylindrical links, including the connector rings at each end, measure approximately 1 1/8" long (just under 7/8" without the connector rings) and 5/16" in depth. The 3-ring section of chain in between each link measures 3/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the jade and malachite stones are intact and securely set.
