Late Victorian 10kt Pearl & Diamond Filigree Pendant Necklace
A lovely gold pendant necklace from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! This beautiful teardrop-shaped piece is made of vibrant 10kt yellow gold and holds a delicate old Mine Cut diamond at the center of a fine filigree design. The diamond is held within a raised buttercup prong setting, and dangles freely in the center of the pendant. Two natural pearls accent the sparkling stone, both set at the top point of the pendant and an intricate curled ribbon-like pattern comprises the teardrop border, framing the lovely, feminine piece. At the top of the pendant is a simple fluted bail which hangs from the simple gold chain. The clasp of the chain as well as the back of the pendant are both stamped "10K". This beautiful pendant necklace would make a perfect everyday piece and would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, measures a little more than 1/2" at the widest point, and is 1/8” thick. The chain measures 15.5" in length.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant and chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or chain, and the diamond and pearls are all intact. The bail and chain clasp are both secure and in good condition.
