Victorian 18kt Enamel Jockey Cap & Riding Crop Charm
A wonderful gold and enamel charm from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This equestrian inspired charm is made of 18kt yellow gold and depicts a miniature jockey cap that rests atop a gold riding crop. The jockey cap is enameled with a sky blue top and vibrant red enameled brim. A single sparkling diamond rests at the very top in a platinum bezel setting. There is a fine Guilloché pattern etched on the bill of the hat, which shows through the surface of the red enamel. The top of the riding crop is engraved to create a textured appearance. Attached to the looped end of the riding crop is a simple gold ring, making it easy to attach the charm to a favorite bracelet or wear as a pendant on a chain. A wonderfully detailed piece, it would be perfect for any charm collector or equestrian enthusiast!
Measurements: The charm hangs 1 1/4" long, measures 1/2" at its widest point, and is 1/4" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, enamel, or ring for hanging, and the diamond is intact.
