Victorian 9kt Gold Gatelink Bracelet with Padlock Heart Clasp

SKU: 40134

A lovely gold bracelet from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! This simple yet beautiful piece is made of 9kt rose gold and comprised of a lovely chain and padlock charm. Sections of bow-shaped links and latticework chain links alternate with each other and come together at a small heart-shaped padlock clasp. The top of the padlock opens and shuts with a push clasp, and the face of padlock charm bears a small keyhole and 4 screwhead-shaped designs. A ring is present at the top of the clasp where a safety chain may have once been, however, there is currently no chain; this could easily be added if desired to give the piece extra security. The back of the padlock clasp is stamped "9”, "375", a lower case "n" and the London Assay mark which is a lion. Additionally, each bowtie shaped link is stamped "9CT". This delicate bracelet is very comfortable to wear and would look wonderful worn alone or paired with other complementary bracelets!

Measurements: The chain measures approximately 7.5" in length and is approximately 3/8" wide. The padlock clasp measures about 3/4” tall, 5/8" wide and 1/8” thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain or to the padlock charm. The clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
