This spectacular vintage emerald and diamond ring (ca1950s) is a real beauty! The 14kt gold ring holds a stunning 4.00ct emerald cabochon at the center, which is smoothly polished and has a luscious vivid green color. Surrounding the emerald is a sparkling diamond halo, the perfect compliment to the gemstone center! The diamonds weigh approximately 0.70ctw combined and are bezel set in a scalloped border. Completing the design is a fine filigree wirework framework below the centerpiece, and cathedral style shoulders that extend to a simple and smooth band. Stamped inside the shank is "14K." When worn, the ring makes a prominent statement and is simply breathtaking. It would look wonderful worn on special occasions, or would make a unique gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The emerald and diamond centerpiece measures 3/4" tall, 5/8" wide, and rests about 3/8" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the emerald and diamonds. All of the stones are intact and securely set.
