Vintage Silver & Carnelian Cabochon Handmade Ring
A striking vintage carnelian ring from the 1950s! This artistic hand wrought ring is made of silver and holds a beautiful carnelian stone at its center. The smoothly polished carnelian has a rich, warm orange color and slight translucence, revealing subtle bands within. Surrounding the stone is a decorative border comprised of coiled wirework that frames the bezel setting. A natural patina rests within the grooves of the design, adding further depth to the design. Completing the piece is a textured band with a simple ridged design. The back of the setting is stamped with two maker's hallmarks, which are difficult to interpret due to normal wear, but one appears to read "800." A fantastic everyday ring, it has very bold look and would make a stylish statement!
Measurements: The ring is approximately a finger size of 5, but could be easily re-sized up or down if desired. The oval centerpiece measures 1" tall, 7/8" wide, and 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or carnelian cabochon, which is intact and securely set.
