A fabulous onyx and diamond ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 14k white gold, this striking piece features a navette-style onyx centerpiece. The onyx stone is held within a smooth and simple bezel setting, and displays a lovely dark black hue. The center of the onyx stone features a single cut diamond, which also rests within a bezel setting. The mounting of the ring features intricate filigree work, which includes a unique scalloped cutout design. The shoulders of the ring are decorated with a pillar motif, which is represented by dark green and red enameling. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank features a "14k" purity mark. A truly spectacular example of Art Deco-era craftsmanship, this ring would make a splendid addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.5, but could be easily resized. The onyx plaque measures just under 3/4" tall and 3/8" wide. The band measures 2.1mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is great. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the white gold filigree setting, onyx centerpiece, or central diamond.
