A stunning onyx necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 14k gold, this necklace is comprised of 12 oblong onyx links. The onyx stones display a lovely dark black hue, and are connected to one another by large, smooth, and simple gold jump rings. Each onyx link is decorated with a bead-set pearl, which is surrounded by a gold, starburst-motif frame. The pearls display a lovely milky white luster, which creates a lovely contrast to the dark onyx links. The necklace secures with a spring ring clasp. An elegant and timeless piece, this necklace would make a great addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 16 1/2" long. Each onyx links measures 1 1/8" long and just over 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting, and the spring ring clasp is secure and in working order. There's minor wear on some of the onyx links, which is commensurate with the age of the item. All of the pearls are intact and securely set.
