A gorgeous diamond engagement ring from the Retro (ca1940) era! This platinum ring holds a sparkling 0.68ct old European Cut diamond at the center. The diamond is prong set in a square-shaped center box, and has H color and VS2 clarity. Delicate single cut accent diamonds line the shoulders of the band, providing the perfect compliment to the center stone. Collectively, the single cut diamonds weigh 0.06ctw, and have H-I color range and VS2-SI1 clarity range. Completing the design is a sleek, smoothly polished band with a lightly engraved groove that travels along the sides. Inside the shank is what remains of an engraved inscription, now faded due to age and normal wear. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in March 2019, and has a stated retail replacement value of $4,000.00. When worn, this vintage diamond engagement ring is positively radiant, delivering a spectacular sparkle!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6, but could easily be resized up or down if desired. The center stone rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 2mm wide at the shoulders, and 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set.
