An adorable and colorful pendant/charm from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in sleek platinum, this dainty charm depicts a small clown! The body of the clown is encrusted with small bead-set single cut diamonds and channel-set calibrated rubies. The shoes of the jester are represented by additional channel-set calibrated rubies, and the character's shoes each feature a single, bezel-set sapphire "pom-pom". The rubies display a vivid pinkish-red hue, and the sapphires a luscious blue hue. The face of the clown features intricate engravings, which bring the jovial character's side profile to life. The clown's hat is decorated with bright green enameling and an additional bezel-set diamond "pom-pom". The clown is topped by a larger, bezel-set diamond and a complimentary platinum bail. A one-of-a-kind pendant/charm, this piece would make a lovely addition to any Art Deco-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" (including the bail) and measures 1/2" at its widest point.
Condition: The pendant/charm is in excellent condition. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the small gemstones are secure and intact. The enamel detailing and complimentary bail are both intact.
