Art Deco Platinum GIA No Heat Ceylon Color-Changing Sapphire Ring 3.90ct

SKU: 45937

$11,995

An exquisite sapphire ring from the Art Deco (ca1930) era! This stunning piece is crafted in platinum and holds an incredible natural sapphire at the center of a classically simple prong setting. The four double-prong set Ceylon (Sri Lankan) sapphire has an estimated weight of 3.90ctw by formula, and is beautifully faceted into a modified cushion cut and boasts a beautiful light blue periwinkle color that changes in the light to light violet hue. The natural color displays no indications of heat treatment. Two additional deep blue baguette-cut sapphires dot the shoulders, also in prong settings and estimated to weigh a combined 0.15ctw. The ring features an open gallery, allowing light to flood the sapphires. The ring tapers into a simple, plain shank which is faintly marked for platinum on the interior of the band, as well as the carat weight of the center stone (3.90ctw). Accompanying the ring is a Sapphire Origin Report from the Gemologist Institute of America dated February of 2023 (report #2221822338). A simple design yet bold statement, this stunning sapphire solitaire ring would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5 but could easily be resized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The sapphires are intact and securely set.
