An exquisite diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features a 1.10ct old European cut diamond, which is held within a four-prong setting. The stone displays H/I color and SI1 clarity. The large, central diamond is surrounded by a square-shaped centerpiece, which is encrusted with small bead-set single cut diamonds. Each shoulder of the ring features 3 rectangular-shaped panels, which create a lovely "step"-design. The shoulders are also encrusted with bead-set single cut diamonds. Overall, the smaller diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .25ctw. The shoulders of the piece also feature subtle floral and feather-motif engravings, and the remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The inside of the shank is marked: "IRID PLAT" and with a maker's mark which reads "WBS". An eye-catching ring, this piece would make a spectacular engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a size 6, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.7mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamond stones, all of which are intact.
