Art Deco Silver Gilt Coral Festoon Necklace

A stunning coral necklace from the Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This festoon-style necklace features alternating picket-shaped coral links and a doubled row of small, coral spheres. The coral stones display an incredibly vibrant reddish-orange hue, which wonderfully matches the thread upon which the coral links are strung. The piece secures with a push clasp, which is crafted in silver gilt. The clasp features a central coral cabochon, and is further decorated with foliage-motif engravings. The tongue of the push clasp is marked "835" and with a maker's mark which reads: "HMEF". A lovely necklace, this piece would make a beautiful accessory for any special event or occasion!
