A fun and unique pendant from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this pendant depicts a colorful crayfish! The body of the create is adorned with white, mossy green, and pale blue enameling, which adds a wonderful, lifelike appeal to the piece. The abdomen of the crayfish is articulate, adding wonderful movement to the pendant. The underside of the crayfish also features 6 legs, which also move slightly when worn. The creature features 2, three-dimensional eyes, which are adorned with red enameling. The body of the crayfish also features small, three-dimensional balls, antennae, and feeding arms. Uniquely, the mouth of the creature is able to open! The piece is completed by a complimentary bail, which would allow the piece to easily attach to a favorite chain. The underside of the pendant features a "SILVER" purity mark. A one-of-a-kind piece, this pendant would make a wonderful addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant has a total length of 2 1/16" (including the complimentary bail) and measures 1/2" at its widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting, Randall of the enamel-detailing is intact and free from any major chips or scratches. The articulate links of the pendant are intact and in working order, and the complimentary bail is securely attached.
