Art Nouveau 14k Turquoise & Diamond Navette Ring

A unique and whimsical navette-style ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this ring features a central, marquise-shaped, prong-set turquoise cabochon. The turquoise displays a greenish-blue hue, which wonderfully contrasts the yellow gold mounting. The cabochon is surrounded by a frame comprised of overlapping foliage-motifs, which are decorated with texturizing engravings. The shoulders of the ring are each represented by the bust portrait of a woman. The woman's hair is in a loose updo, as a few of her curls drape onto her neck. Her eyes and mouth are softly closed, and a blooming floral-motif is located on either side of her head. Each floral-motif is centered by a bezel-set single cut diamond, which add a lovely sparkle to the mounting. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank features a "14K" purity mark and a personalized engraving which reads: "M.E.S. FROM L.P.W.". A true example of Art Nouveau-era craftsmanship, this ring would make an exquisite addition to any antique jewelry collection!

Measurements: The ring is currently a size 5.25, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.63mm, and the centerpiece has a height of 7/8" and a width of 5/8".

Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the yellow gold mounting, and all of the stones are intact and securely set.
