A fantastic necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold, this chain is comprised of alternating ellipse-shaped links, dainty cable chain, and pearls. The ellipse-shaped links feature intricate filigree-detailing, which incorporates swirling-motifs. The surface of the cable chain links are smooth and simple, and the pearls display a creamy pinkish-white luster. The pearls have an approximate width of 6.9mm. The necklace secures with a spring ring clasp, which is stamped with eagle-motif hallmarks, which indicate that the piece was crafted in France. An elegant chain, this piece would look lovely worn alone or paired with other antique chains!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 23" long. The pearls have a width of 6.9mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold links, and the spring ring clasp is secure and in working order. All of the pearls are intact and securely attached to the chain.
