A fabulous stick pin from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This wonderful 14kt gold piece depicts a 3-dimensional art easel and painting resting at the top of a stick pin. The image on the painting displays a wonderful Aesthetic Movement design, which consists of a crane, budding flowers, and moss-covered ground. The lovely scene comes to life with hand etchings and raised details, along with platinum, rose gold, and green gold accents, to create a fabulous mixed metals appeal. The miniature painting rests on the ledge of the easel, while the edges of the stand extend out from the top and bottom, closely resembling a real art easel. Attached to the back is a long stick pin, perfect for fastening the piece to a favorite garment. A fantastic and fun Aesthetic Movement piece, it would make a perfect addition for any artist or art lover's collection!
Measurements: The stickpin measures approximately 2 5/8" in total length. The art easel measures about 1" tall, 5/8" wide, and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the stick pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting. The pin is secure and in good working order.
