Victorian Gold-Filled Mother of Pearl Horse Fob/Pendant
An exquisite hand carved mother of pearl horse head fob/pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning pendant is comprised of a piece of mother of pearl which is intricately hand carved to depict a horses' head. The shell fob has rich, carved detail and wonderful iridescent color and hangs from a simple ring at the top of the head, perfect for attaching to a long chain. The charming horse head has gold-filled reins and eye covers that wrap around its head and are riveted through it, giving it a wonderful, realistic appearance. This stunning piece would look fabulous worn on a long chain or cord and is perfect for the horsey lover!
Measurements: The horses' head measures approximately 1 1/8" long, is 1 1/2" at the widest point and 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the fob/pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved mother of pearl or to the gold filled findings.
