A gorgeous and ornate brooch from legendary designer David Webb. Crafted in 18k vibrant yellow gold, the surface of this starburst-motif brooch is encrusted with emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and diamonds. Centering the piece is a 15ct emerald cabochon, which is held within an eight-prong setting. The brooch features an additional six emerald cabochons, which are held within four-prong settings and have an approximate total carat weight of 8ctw. The remainder of the substantial brooch is adorned with 8ctw of full cut diamonds, which are all bead set and display H/J color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The piece also features 13ctw of sapphire cabochons, which display a lovely deep blue hue and are held within four-prong settings. Complementing the sapphires are a variety of ruby cabochons and pear-cut rubies, which have an approximate total carat weight of 10ctw and showcase a brilliant red hue. The rubies are held within four-prong settings as well. The back of the brooch features a simple pin clasp, and is stamped with the David Webb signature, the word "WEBB" and an "18K" purity mark. An eye-catching brooch, this piece would make quite a statement for any special event or occasion!
Measurements: The starburst brooch has a diameter of 2 5/8" and a height of 2 1/2". The piece has a depth of 1 5/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the brooch is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the stones are secure and intact. The pin clasp at the back of the piece is secure and in working order.
