Early Victorian 15kt + Agate Hardstone Cameo Ring
SKU:45255
A gorgeous ring from the Early Victorian (ca1850s) era! Crafted in 15kt rose gold, this ring displays a lovely hardstone cameo. The cameo is carved from a single piece of agate and depicts a figure carrying a jug and a staff. Though it is a single stone, the brown agate figure is masterfully carved, appearing to rest atop a translucent light brown background. It is held within a smoothly polished bezel, and the shoulders have a delicate spherical detail before the flared shoulders taper into a thin band at the back. A lovely design, it merges seamlessly into modern-day fashion!
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 6.25 but can easily be resized. The centerpiece measures 23/32" tall, slightly more than 9.16" wide, and rests 7/32" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The ring is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The agate stone is intact, free of chips and scratches, and is securely set.
